eight unique ways to wrap socks as gifts
Socks make such wonderful presents that we wish Christmas came more than just once a year! Whether they’re stocking stuffers or the whole enchilada, we’ve got fun and crazy socks for every personality. They’re as much fun to give as they are to receive!
And while there’s nothing wrong with putting your socks into a box and wrapping them up with cute paper and a bow, maybe this this the year to (literally) think outside the box! We’ve got eight fun and fabulous wrapping ideas for you to try out.
No matter your crafting level of expertise, we’ve got eight ideas for everyone from total novices to those who could give Martha Stewart herself a run for her money. Take a look! (And rest assured, the creations — and the photos — that you see here were made by us!)
1) sock donuts

Mmmmm ... donuts. So sugary and delicious! But it can be hard to eat these goodies without a little twinge of guilt. These sock “donuts” are totally guilt free, and a fun presentation for your favorite foodie! Best of all, every sock pattern looks great as a donut. Although we have to say we love our donut socks (and our christmas donut socks) the most for this wrapping trick! Need help making donut socks? We've got you covered — check out our tutorial on TikTok!
2) Mason jar with a bow

Is pickling your thing? Or do you just have some extra Mason jars lying around? An easy packaging option is to wrap your socks up and jar them, just like our pickle and peach socks, above. They look good enough to eat! We’ve got even more food and drink related gifts to choose from, and this wrapping idea is an easy way to get creative!
3) add socks on top of your box!

We love to say that socks make great stocking stuffers. And they do! But if you’ve got an extra pair, wrap them up with the bow on the top of your gift box, et voila! Colorful holiday socks can be even better than wrapping paper!
4) sock cupcakes

This fun presentation is great for bakers, sweets lovers, and anyone who appreciates fun packaging. Just roll up the socks and then place them in cupcake wrappers. Whether you put them in a box or not is up to you! We’ve even got a fun tutorial to help you out!
No matter which socks you use to make them, sock cupcakes will have everyone talking!
5) traditional stocking stuffers

Look, we all enjoy being creative, and luckily “creativity” can take on many, many forms. So don't worry if some of our suggestions are above your skill set, or you don’t have the right tools at home to pull them off. There’s nothing wrong with stuffing a Christmas stocking full of socks! It’s the original and in some ways still the best.
6) baked goodies

You don’t have to use baking tools for this fun wrapping idea. In fact, any utensil will do! But holiday socks add a fabulous pop of color and fun to the spatula set above, all tied up with a pretty bow. A baking related gift from our sweet treats & drinks related gifts would be great wrapped like this too! The socks are like your wrapping paper, except the recipient will know right away that they’re getting something amazing!
7) in wine glasses

We’ve got so many food and drink themed gifts you’ll be in heaven! What better way to give fun wine-themed gifts than stuffed inside wine glasses? Now, you could put any sock you wanted in a cute wine glass, but you have to admit that wine lovers will totally appreciate bar themed gifts, and we’ve got so many to choose from! If this is getting shipped long distance - choose unbreakable silicone wine glass tumblers instead of glass!
8) plant socks with potted plant gift

In case you didn’t know, plants actually make excellent gifts! They add color to any room, and many of them (like the snake plant, above) are super easy to care for. We’ve got loads of plant gifts to choose from! And since they look adorable tucked right in with the leaves, there’s no need to wrap!
